Below we will analyze some techniques you can use to succeed in ranking for desired keywords, displaying your website on the first pages and...why not...even in the first results on Google.

As you may have understood, building a website is not enough to get visitors. Our website must be visible on Google, and in order to have a satisfactory number of visitors, it must appear on the first page. But how can this be achieved in an ocean of websites with a similar subject?

Before we proceed with any analysis, you should know that Google is constantly changing its algorithm in order to optimize the quality of its results as much as possible. Therefore, whatever changes you see with the moves you make, you should expect that one day they may... be lost or, on the contrary, you may suddenly appear on the first pages without having changed anything on your page!

So, if you already have a website with content, and your website is already at least 6 months old, you can safely follow our advice and take some steps to increase your traffic and improve the quality of your website's content, in a relatively short period of time.

1. Have you registered your website? If so, have you made it known on social media, search engines and high-traffic websites?

SEARCH ENGINES
Your website with its subpages should appear at least on the most well-known search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, MSN . In Google and Yahoo, your website and its subpages are automatically detected after a certain period of time. In Bing, you should register it yourself. If it does not already appear on Google or Yahoo, there are tools such as Google WebMasters that can help you with some actions to register your page so that Google bots - spiders can search for it. To find out if your page has been indexed by search engines, you can simply write your domain in the search box. E.G. i-xperts.gr.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media has been playing a huge role in SEO for 6 years! If you don't already have one, make sure to create a profile-page for your company on ALL well-known Social Media! Your potential or existing customers should be able to find you at least on: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Linked In. Create a simple page or profile on all these networks (it's FREE) and place links to your website. Then try to attract people, creating "circles" on each Media separately. You can achieve this separately with organized marketing campaigns. Ask us how you will attract people to social media!

2. Enrich your website with comprehensive texts, set up a blog - forum, "serve" your visitors with keyword-rich and interesting texts!

You should know that Google loves rich, comprehensive and "authentic - unique" texts. Especially with the latest changes in 2016, in its algorithm, it gives enormous importance to unique and authentic texts. DO NOT try to copy ready-made texts from other websites. Enrich your pages with your own texts, rich in important keywords for you. If you need to copy texts from somewhere, definitely place a reference at the bottom of the page.

Only if you have the ability to monitor it and update it frequently, integrate a news - informative blog or forum related to your subject into your website. This will definitely bring you regular visitors - fans and will boost your traffic, and in addition, Google will realize that your website is an important source of useful information.

3. Upgrade your website , immediately!

If your website is old, you should either replace it completely, or you should make sure that significant internal structural changes are made to comply with the most modern requirements of WEB 2.0. Outdated websites (at least 5 years old) no longer receive good ratings from Google, resulting in them constantly losing positions in search results. Your website should have a modern design, be fairly light on material, images or video, load in less than 5 seconds and provide ONLY the absolutely necessary information for the visitor. Finally, you should make sure that at some point your website code is upgraded to HTML5 - CSS3 with responsive designso that it can be easily adapted to all devices - platforms (mobiles, tablets, notebooks, etc.).

4. Emphasize important keywords in all your texts! Pay special attention to weighting factors!

Repeat some important keywords in your texts in moderation. Emphasize these words in the page titles (meta titles) in the page descriptions (meta descriptions) and in the links you have on your website. The words that you want someone to find you, searching on Google, should be in the main navigation menu of your website, in the title of your home page, and repeated in almost all subpages. Emphasize the words in H1, H2, H3 headings or by using bold, italics, emphasized text, etc.

Take the time to enrich your existing texts with important words, and create new information pages for your business that will contain the business name and will be combined with key keywords: e.g. for website design only at i-xperts internet solutions!

5. Avoid many and unnecessary links - hyperlinks on your pages, avoid external links, avoid unnecessary repetition of expressions

Do not place links for common destinations more than 1 time on the same page! If you wish to have a link to the home page, place one in the header menu and one in the footer menu. Avoid placing a large number of links (more than 30) on a page, regardless of the size of the text. If you have many links that you do not want to be indexed by search engines, use the rel="noindex" or rel="nofollow" tag.

6. Clearly identify to search engines the type of information and the places where the information appears on your website!

HTML5 now gives us the ability to specify the type of texts that appear on our website. Using tags such as: <article>, <nav>, <header> we can declare to search engines how we divide the information on our website and what each information container contains.

Declare all the titles, subtitles of your pages using header tags. e.g.

<h1>Website Design</h1>
<h2>Mobile Design</h2>
<h3>Apple Mobile Design</h3>

7. Place the keyword of the page in the headers above. In the example above, the keyword is "design". Also, the keyword should be repeated in your main text with various variations of it.

8. In your analysis, prefer to emphasize the local characteristics. For example, if you sell organic honey in Halkidiki, repeat the word "Halkidiki honey" several times instead of simply "honey" or "pine honey".
